+1 on recomendations for a 10' fi q series sub (1000 watts rms), if it fits under the seat that would be even better

So I should get the dual 2 ohm and no bp power?

yeah i meant putting the amp under the seat , but after some scientific measuring (feeling around with a 2"x4" under the seat) it doesnt seem like it would be a good idea

Dual 2 ohm sub would yield either a 1 or 4 ohm load. If the amp you get is one ohm stable, then yes. If not, get a dual 4.

I have two JL10W6's in my car ported with 400 watts and that is WAY too much, but that's what I want from time to time. I would think that 2 JL10W6's in separate sealed boxes would sound great on a 500/1. I have always used JLs and they have never disappointed me.

it would be ideal if you were amazed by your JL install,
rather than saying i have used JL and not been disappointed
