I have a HU and 2 rockford 12s. I plan to lose the spare tire and build the box into the floor. I have a hifonics 2x100 amp that I plan to drive the fronts with. I need to buy a set of components for the front and a sub amp for the rockfords. (we can ignore the cost of the box, wiring, and other odds and ends since I can hide those easily from the accountant. It's only the amp and speakers that will draw attention. )

I listen to mostly 80s pop, new wave, and metal. I don't need to wake the dead, but I do like to turn up the bass sometimes. And I'd like to listen at fairly high volumes with minimal ear fatigue. I'm thinking about 50 to 100 watts for the fronts and maybe 200 or 300 watts for the subs. I'd like a remote bass control **** somehow.

I'll upgrade the other stuff later.

It's too much amp for my 12s, but it has the remote I'm after, and the price is right. I can just turn the gain down, then get some beefier 12s later.

What can the stock alternator handle?
