Default Help reinstalling amp

I blew my old kicker amp, and will be installing the same type amp tomorrow into my car. When I was looking at the amp I noticed one wire that was not connected to anything but it was stripped at the end. (I did not put in my system) After further investigation I found out that the wire comes from the passenger side of the car with the speaker wires, It is a brown wire that looks like the remote wire. THe remote- purple/blue wire was connected but im not sure where this brown wire goes? Stupid me I decided to see if i would get anything by putting it to the power of my capacitor and it sparked. This would lead me to think it is a ground? What do you guys think?

Ok,,,there is a lot missing here. 1. Are you running an aftermarket headunit or OEM? 2. If OEM,,is it bose or non-bose? 3. Are there RCA's present at the amp,,or did they some sort of speaker leads into the amp for signal? Give us a run down of your set up,,that way we can help determine where that wire should be connected.

Default amp

Ok sorry, the amp is a 5 channel amp that is running the whole system. The head unit is an aftermarket alpine headunit. I have rca wires that connect to the left side of the amp but im not sure what the brown wire is that goes over to the right side of the amp. Im guessing it is coming from the head unit
