Default Which subs to go to next :)

Well it finally happened my 12" Kicker L7 has finally let go after about 2 years of use. So I need some new subs to head in the rear.

I have this amp sitting under a blanket in my room (1200wRMS @ 1ohm):

http://www.mtx.com/caraudio/products...hunder7801.cfm

Looking for 2 12" subs in the $200 a piece range.

Was looking at the Kicker CVX line (750wRMS), but didn't really see anything else that jumped out at me. I listen to a lot of rap/hiphop so I like a good amount of bass

Yea I was looking at the CVX dual 4's. I really wanted to go W6 but i have never really been a big fan of JL's dollar to performance ratio.

buying (2) 12's for $200 is like buying (2) $15,000 Civics or having (1) 350z..

buy 1 ID Max 12 and call it a day.. you don't need 2 12's

I think you misunderstood. Im not talking about buying 2 for $200. I want 2 subs that are $200 a piece ($400 total)

Buying 1 12 is hard to do just because not many people make an enclosure with 1 12. Its either 1 10, 2 10's, or 2 12's.

I have never been a big fan of DD, or audio pulse. The only thing I like about Audio Pulse is their supposed "Lifetime warranty". I used to really like RE and Adire Audio before the price of the XXX went sky high.

i understand what you meant.. the ID Max 12 cost is $400.. which would be 2 12's @ $200 each..

if you like RE.. then you should look at FI http://www.ficaraudio.com..

its the people who were on the original XXX development and they now make a more affordable sub with the same performance

ID makes a great sub.. used to compete with the Brahma a couple years back

hmmmmm, not liking the one-time build house of most of the subs you do like

Just busting chops, anyway.......+1 on Fi. or a pair of Peerless XXLS 12".

Yea I like the IDMAX but the cheapest I could find is for 450. And then I still run into the problem of finding an enclosure. Nobody is making a single 12" enclosure that is custom fit to the Z that Ive found.

Might have to drive down and take a look at the FI office. They are based out here in Las Vegas, I belive RE still has their main office out here also.

Hmmm I think I'v changed my mind. I think I may just go with a Zenclosure dual 10, some alpine R's, and use the rest of the money towards getting a new front bumper (Nismo V2) and some paint Thoughts?

How you spend your money is up to you. It's your car.
