Default Fi Subs and Elemental Designs....a killer combo

Well first things first, pics will be posted tomorrow when its day light.
Secondly...I installed a FI SSD 10" with copper coil option dual 1 ohm to my Alpine MRD (or V??) 800rms mono amp on a 2 ohm load. I also removed the entire interior and laid down VSe2 and Teklite V4. Holy SHEIT my car has super worn and loud bridgestones and this nearly silenced it completely. I cant even describe it, after I get two new front tires the car will be completely silent. I installed it in the cubby holes and even under the carpet and transmission tunnel. The teklite foam went on the same parts.

I have to say all vibrations are eliminated and the extra foam makes the carpet more comfortable for your heel while driving.

The Fi sub is in a Zenclosure sealed box at .75 cubic ft with 1lb of polyfill. The sub needs 20 hrs to break in but already is increadibly smooth and plays sooo low for 1 10" woofer, plut is looks sweet.

BTW headliner, A-pillars B-pillars and sub box are all wrapped in suede!!!!!!!

PICS.... havent finished the headliner, my fingers are rubbed raw from working on the car for 8 straight hours.

What controls the system.

INSTALL

FI SSD 10" 800rms - sounds great and looks great!

Lots of V4 Teklite (didn't get pics under the carpet but damn it made a difference)

suede.....

Box

BTW the amp rack is so ghetto because I am making a very nice suede one for both amps so they can be easily tuned while mounted.
Where do you guys secure your racks to????? angle iron attached to that other hole where I grounded my amp?? I have no clue.
I will search for amp rack pics but post a few if you got them

hope you like and when its all done with the door pods wrapped in suede with the components and the suede headliner i will post a complete up to date shoot.

Whats waiting to be installed when the components show up (got it 6 months old with cooling fans for 200 bucks)

Sounds like a great setup. I am still itching to try an Fi sub.

I have heard a lot of criticism about the eD sound dampener but I am nothing but pleased with mine...especially for the price

WHAT???? I can't hear you!!! that is wayyyyyy to much for me, but it looks cool. Thing about that is you are so close to the sub its hard for the soundwave to develop when its 6" from your ear.

Gotta love working on the Z. Nice touch with the suede. You might consider a grill kit for the sub. In case you ever need to put anything in the hatch that could slide into it.

Parts Express

I've seen alot of amp racks that are suspended by metal pieces fastened to the two bracket arms that normally support the glove box and then fasten to the front lip of the cubby. You can see the brackets in the 10th picture down in your original post.

Check out the last couple of pictures in the article on the amp rack here:
