1 - You are correct. It should (key word) be a little over 2.

2 - It is sealed.

I'd like to try a 15" CVR on 600 ~watts in an enclosure like that. I've had 3 different single 10s on 400-600 watts, two different single 12s on 1000-1800 watts, two 12s on 1800 watts, and 2 10s on 1200-1800 watts and most of them sounded great in the hatch of the Z
CVR gets sickly loud

Here is a pic of my 15" but the only negative about the system is that no trunk space.

yep, that is true which made the choice a little easier because you can't use the trunk more much anyways...lol.

Keeping stock battery for the moment and adding a BatCap 400 (maybe use 800 eventually).

Wiring will be 4 awg from battery to BatCap and distribution and 8 awg from distribution blocks to amps.

The final system will be powered by 1 Alpine PDX 1.1000 (sub) and 2 Alpine DPX 4.150s (front stage)

Running active filtering with Alpine H701

3-way setup:
DLS UR1 - 1.1" Tweeters
DLS ULTIMATE Iridium 3 - 3" Midranges
MW166-4ohm 6" Damped polymer composite cone Woofers

Sub:
Dayton Titanic MK-III 15"

I appreciate the offer, but I have a few friends who install and compete here in the Sarasota area. I am hoping to be done before Spring Break Nationals, but don't think that is going to happen.

In the future I will look into going with the Stinger, but for now I already have the BatCap 400.

I've heard good things from the Dayton. As for going active with 3-ways

I've got a 10" now that I got for $46 shipped from cardomain's insane clearance a few months back and I was surprised to find it was louder than my Type R and SQ seems just as good. Now I am just itching to try a 15. I'd like to build a sealed 15 box or a ported 12 box that I can just swap on with my 10 on occasions where I want to really pound...

i am so sick of people saying kicker has no SQ

kicker is my favorite mainstream brand
for a reason

they get hella loud

and installed in the proper enclosure , with proper power , they sound great

i am not surprised by the kicker overtaking the alpine

I had a JBL amp b4 but that burned out, so now i have a Directed D2205 ( i think) and it sounds decent enough.

understood

from another perspective , using a 350z to compete in SPL unfortunetly looks take a back seat to output

this being said , looking at my set up compared to others in hatchback cars that compete , mine set up looks quite clean actually

i have heard a few times from different 350z members that they do feel my boxes look out of place in the Z so your not the 1st to mention

no problem brother
