Watts are watts..... I can't imagine one amp hitting harder than another given relatively good brand name gear.

i agree. Sell the w3v2's and get a FI q 10 lol 1000 watts to it and they are supposed to pound and sound great. Im getting rid of my w6v2 as soon as i get some money and throwin it in mine.

Tuning, tuning, tuning.

You can have all the best gear in the world, if it's not installed and tuned properly it WILL sound like POO POO. I can't imagine two 10" subs with 600 rms watts to them is not enough for anyone in a Z.

The stealthbox is wired to a 4 ohm load and can handle 1000 rms watts, so you would have best better to get the pdx 1.1000, but the 1.600 should still pound that box.

Post up 2 pics for me......
1. the settings on the 2.150
2. the settings on the 1.600

^^^^^^+1 primarily install, secondary equipment choice ^^^^

are you searching for deeper bass at frequencies 30-40 hertz , or are you searching for more volume at 41 hertz +

I guess I'm use to 12's, i have never owned a pair on 10's before. At first the bass was not really present until i started to mess around with the EQ on the headunit(kenwood ddx7019) after some adjustments the bass felt like it was hitting. I def know i need a tune the install was done by a friend. I'm looking for more volume

your amp isn't the problem...I don't think the 500/1 would make a difference.

Have you played around with your amps settings?
I have the DDX-7017, so I'm familiar with the interface, what are your EQ settings? Do you have the sub level turned all the way up on the head unit?

I personally would take the 1.600 over a 500.1 any day........but that's just me.

Ok, finally got my car back from bodyshop. Here are my EQ settings on my kenwood ddx 7019

treble -3 freq 12.5khz
Bass freq 80hz level 6 q factor 1.00 sublevel all the way to 5

With this setting the bass is hitting but wanted some recommendations on better settings.

thx

Sounds like your amp is not on an optimal setting. I would recommend setting the bass central frequency around 60 Hz and bump up the the Q factor to 1.5 to get a more gradual slope at lower and higher frequencies. This however will not help your problem much, it will just contribute to overall better sound. I have my bass set to +3 at normal listening volume and -2-0 when I turn it up loud and I am very happy with my bass output. I would suggest tuning your amp. To do this roughly, set the central frequency from 40-60 Hz, set the bass boost at about 10% and see what it sounds like as you gradually increase the gain.

Also, make sure the subwoofer level is all the way up on the HU and loudness is turned off. Set bass output to 'flat' 'low'
