Okay, I went to a local audio shop and I don't know alot about wiring stereo's but I think this guy is asking on the little high side for the following installation:

I have bought all the components myself and he would just be installing it.

- New head unit (haven't decided which one)
- Infiniti Perfect Componenet Speakers
- Infiniti Basslink X Sub

The audio shop wants $350.00 for this installation. Is this normal or should I shop around? Also would this be hard for a newbie to do? Or should I attempt this installation myself.

Anyone know of any good shops in Cincinnati, OH.

 

thats a crazy amount. you can do it yourself fairly easily. check the "how to" thread at the top of this page. find a friend to help who is good at that kind of thing and go after it. you will be much happier doing it yourself AND saving the money for mods

 

the ABSOLUTE MAX i could see for the installation is $300. BUt it most likely would only cost $250 or LESS. Definatly look some place else.

 

I think a couple of members who have already installed their own system into their Z are from the Cinnci area. Try to find one and ask if they will help you install - I know I wouldn't mind helping anyone else - a case of beer works wonders
