Question 03-05 Nav Door, Keeping it open?

hey guys, i was wondering if there was a way to keep the motorized nav door open while the car was off. For car show purposes really. Anyone have any ideas?

when you shut your car off, use your hand to stop it from closing. it will try a couple times to close then it will give up and stay open

there is a plug that goes to the motor behind the top of the nav door (small plug 4 wires)....have the nav door open up 100% then just pull that plug out...

I learned this accidentally when i couldn't get my nav door to open all the way.....because the nav thought the dorr was down the screen stayed black as if it was shut off....

yeah just unplug the white (or black) connector on the back of the nav door and it should stop it from going up and down. my nav door was broken and the door would only close half way so i decided to go this route to save embarassment.

dont think the 03 have motorized doors. your better off without them. the automatic open and closing seem cool and all but eventually the motor dies out and it looks worse than before.
