Default Removing All Interior Panels

I will be wiring and sound deadening the entire Z tonight. I am worried about breaking the panel clips as I have already busted some clips on the very back panel in the hatch. Are there any questionable spots I should know about or look for when I remove every freaking panel in the Z? Any advice on how to remove the panels?

Also, the rules for IASCA SQ state that all batteries inside the car must be vented to the outside and that the BatCap is considered a battery (not a capacitor). Is there a spot in the hatch area that I can vent my BatCap to?

BTW, I have searched the How To's and could not find anything.

Thanks in advance for the help.

door panel puller will apply pressure in the correct location as to sperate panels and not comprimize intergirty of panel or clips

you can buy new clips at Nissan dealer

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog

i use 3 batteries in hatch none vented

I will check into that door panel puller.

Wish I could just mount it to the install somewhere inside the car. Unfortunately, I will lose points if the BatCap is not vented to the outside. Not sure how many points, but every point counts.

you can use a long screwdriver to put pressure at the clip area to aid in releasing the panels, worked for me as some of them are a ways behind the panel were your not going to be able to fit the door trim tool. I would doulble check the reg's on the batcap, if memory serves me its a sealed/nonspill unit like a optima? i had one in my z but didnt compete so dont know the rules.

Ok, I am trying to remove the panels from the hatch lid and feel like if I pull too hard, I will break them . Can anyone give me any advice on taking these hatch panels off?

When I pull down on them it looks like they are going to bend badly. They do some flexing, but do not want to break away from the body.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!!!

Alright... I guess I am just gonna pull and pray. Hopefully I don't break anything.

If anyone can give me any pointers about the hatch door panels, it would be much appreciated!

Why must a nonvented battery be vented? That's absurd.

I agree! However, those are the rules I must play by with IASCA.

As far as removing the hatch lid panels, I have done this and taken pics. I will post a "How To" on it when I get a chance.
