Default Stock Subwoofer

Hey all, I am new to the forum. My dad just bought a 2004 350z GT, everything seems to be working fine except for the subwoofer. Anyone have any ideas for where the problem may lie? Don't know too much about audio equipment or where to check but any info would be helpful. Thanks to all and have a great night.

Mike

You need to be more specific. What are the symptoms. Could be the amplifier that was driven to clipping? Please give more description of the problems.

When we bought the car, we were not really worried about the radio or audio system. we wanted to make sure that the car drove well. i tried messing with the audio settings and turning the bass up but i never felt a strong presence so i put my hand over the sub and realized it wasnt even producing any sound.

As you'll read by browsing through the forums...the sound system in our cars are TERRIBLE! Just consider this a reason for your dad to go out and get an aftermarket system!

Haha got few good laughs after finding the problem. I took the spare tire and everything in the back out to follow the wiring that is hooked up to the sub. Kept following it to find out that the amp had been removed and the wires cut. Sucks in some ways but just more of a reason to get rid of the stock stuff hah. Thanks for all the help.
