1000w RMS Sub Suggestions Not FI
Sub Suggestions 1000w RMS @ 1 Ohm Not FI
Okay so I totally had my heart set on 1 FI Q10 but I emailed FI over 2 weeks ago and still havent heard back from them.
I can't place the order via their webpage cuz I'm from Hawaii.
I posted a thread here http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/f...howtopic=15349 trying to get some help but at this point i'm not too optimistic. I'm going to give them another day or two but then I think I'm going to find something else.
I've already picked up this Amp http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=6014 to power it:
Cadence DCA-1000 - Cadence 1000 Watt 1 Ch Daytona SPL Competition Amplifier
# 4 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 25 Watts @ 13.8 Volts
# 2 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 750 Watts @ 13.8 Volts
# 1 Ohm RMS Power: 1 x 1000 Watts @ 13.8 Volts
So with that does anyone else have a good suggestion for a 10" SQ oriented sub that will work well with my amp? I'm planning on building a custom sealed box in the spare tire well (lol well i'm not building it, but i'm paying a good shop to do so). Airspace and mounting depth aren't huge concerns because we plan on raising the trunk floor to accommodate.
My initial thought was an IDQ12V3.D2 but I think I have too much power for it. Do i need to go up to a IDMAX10CRD2? The extra cost isn't a huge concern but I thought the IDQ was more SQ oriented and the IDMax was more SPL oriented. I'm pretty much open to suggestions for any brands but if you're planning on suggesting a JL 10W7 you can leave this thread right now. hehe.
Even if you like one of the ID subs I suggested I'd love to have more options because if I can find a dealer locally for that brand I might be able to save lots on shipping. Shipping to Hawaii can be a killer.

I think you would be very happy with the IDMax. Despite being SPL beasts, they are very controlled.
EDIT:
Also you could look at the RE SX10

Noooo, don't go for the SX series. Those need huge ported boxes, not suited for a 350z's trunk at all. I totally second the IDMAX idea, it's a great woofer, and has great sound quality (in my opinion) and loud as hell (SQL beast would be a better description, good mixture of both) http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_id=2030
Thanks so much guys, keep it coming. I really like the IDMax, I just wish I could find a local dealer. I really don't want to pay over 100 bucks in shipping just to get one down here. And before someone points me to the ID website, the only dealer listed for Hawaii is Special T Tinting, and I just got off the phone with them, they no longer sell car audio equipment.
can anyone recommend someplace other than woofersetc to get them? Woofersetc is killing me on shipping. want 120 bucks for my 2 amps and diamond audio 661s components.
