I am looking for a 8 channel receiver for my garage. I doesn't need to be 5,6 or 7.1, just 8 stereo channel with subwoofer output. I have 8 Klipsch all weather speakers and a 15" Velodyne powered sub. Suggestions for new, not used.

as far as HT receivers go, 7.1 IS 8 channel. 7(surround).1(sub). you have 9 speakers, either leave one out or wire it in as a second center channel.

I went with a 7.1 Denon AVR 688. Good features; the rear surrounds can be turned up for the desired effect.
