I want to get my windows tinted, and all the good tint shops seem only to use metallized film. The V1 manual says this will greatly reduce the effectiveness of any radar detector (creates a Faraday cage).

Any experiences with this? Opinions?

 

I tinted mine at 15% everywhere but the windshield. I haven't noticed a difference, but then again, I didn't tint the most important direction. I am also somewhat reluctant to tint the windshield, but I would like to do so.
