Hello everyone!

My shop just finished installing an AVIC-Z2 for a customer with an '04 Infiniti G35 Coupe today. We used the Metra Turbo 2 dash kit with the integrated climate controls. However, the customer is unhappy with it, and to tell you the truth I don't really blame him. The kit is certainly not perfect. The climate control buttons are all gray rubber which matches with nothing else in the car, and overall the kit looks sort of cheap.

About a year ago we did a full blown install of an AVIC-Z1 with an '06 G35 Coupe, and the dash kit wasn't available (as you know the '06 is different from the '04) so we ordered it directly from Japan. The '06 came out mint! But, is there any similar kits for the '04? Please help me out. Thanks!

 

yes factory DD kits are available for the 04 and it's a perfect match in color and fit. you need to get the face plate and the ac controls separately. you can order it from any infiniti dealer. I think it's around 3bills for the set.

 

I called my local Infiniti dealer and they told me they had no idea what I was talking about. A factory double DIN kit does sound kind of weird. Can you provide more information?

not sure if the link will work properly but if you go to aftermarket accessories, interior, conversion kits it should show up.
