I want to have a set of A-Pilllar Tweeter boxes made. They would mount where the base of the a-pillar and windshield meet. Anyone know where I can get a set made????

 

“Tweeter pods” integrated into the A-Pillar is pretty much a custom installation. If it were just an add-on attachment, it would look “pig-boat.”

The right way to do this is an A-Pillar replacement with the pod as an integral part of the replacement. Bing does this, but only as a custom job. I believe there are enough members here who see the advantage of the configuration you request, so maybe the part will become available. It would certainly be an improvement over the stock sail panel position.

okay, you are like the 4th person that have saked about A pillar mounting. I think perhaps there is enough interest i can do a one time group deal for people, when i have a free day, i can borrow a Z, and aim it and mold it, and then spend a few more days sanding, and finishing...

i have to think about it, but its extremely time consuming compared to say kicks, whcih i can get done from start to finish in 2 days, this would be at least twice, if not three times as much work to look right, much more delicate molding, much more finish work being that it has to be either vinyled or SEM texture coated.

but obviously if i charge three times the price it wouldnt be worth it...

but the end result would be similar to the vette, it wouldnt be the little pods i made to maximize path difference as that is way to time consuming interms of requring a car to be here...

i will make a post about it and see hwat kind of interest i get
