Default Kenwood DNX7100

Can any Kenwood DNX7100 owners share some of their experiences with this unit. I have the read that the navi is great but the user menus are a pain to navagate.

Thanks

I'd have to agree with that opinion. The user interface could be better but overall, it's a very powerful and feature packed unit.

Is there an option to connect extra LCD's to this unit?

I just skimmed through all those pages seems like a good unit but too many features. Still undecided...

That was my thought initially. Right now I have the XM radio add-on, a USB jump drive plugged into it and I can also plug my iPhone in it. Last road trip I kept my wife entertained by playing some movies in the DVD. All that plus the Nav has made it worth the money and complexity.

This might be one of the top 3 head units out there imo.

Here ya go bro, heres another good thread you can check out. Im not a big fan of kenwood...or the 80's style interface but the Garmin nav does rock and flash drive is supposedly better than HDD, or my D3 which uses dvd-rom.

+1, the USB drive and iPhone connections is awesome. The DNX7100 is also GF approved for long road trips.

i would agree, the nav is awesome, the menus are not as straight forward as you would like but my wife who is not very "computer" savy has no problem using it (in her expedition). she can efficiently switch between nav, ipod and fm tuner.

The menu system certainly could be improved. But a few months w/ mine, I've gotten used to it.

And otherwise the unit is terrific!
