***Off-Topic***

I have a noob question.

I'd like to know what type of audio competitions are in my area and how I can set my car up, if it isn't already to fit within competition guidelines. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance.

The only organizations that I know of are:

www.IASCA.com

www.mecacaraudio.com

www.soundoff.org/usaci.htm

I don't know if there are any that are close to NY.

Are you looking for Sound Quality or SPL?

Thanks for the links.

I'd like to think that my car is setup more for sound quality.

Running "active" just means that you are controlling your crossover points on the speakers with a processor. Running "passive" means that the speakers are controlled by a crossover unit that usually comes with a component set.

I like running active with the Alpine H701 cause I have the ability to set my crossover points (digitally) whereever I want and it gives me 7 channels of time alignment.

I am not familiar with the Audio Control dqx, but I believe it controls your crossover points which means you are running active.

***If I am mistaken, please feel free to correct me as I am pretty new to the sport.

Thanks, its vinyl. I will try and find my invoice and I'll let you know via PM.

On a side note there are absolutely NO audio competitions in my area . Oh well, I guess.

If it's any consolation, myself and my teamates from FL have to drive to SC for Elite Summer Nationals (www.elitesummernationals.com) and to Atlanta for IASCA Finals.

The only organization that is centered in a specific area is MECA, which is in KY and TN.
