Default PS2+monitor in car?

I'm getting a 04' DB Track... and because performance is more important for me than everything else, so I think I'll just get a monitor and use PS2 to play DVDs... here is the question...
Is the shock-protection of PS2 good enough? Can you actually play the DVDs while the car's in motion? The shock-protection is my main concern...
Or, anyone has some suggestions? I'm a newbie in car stereos...
I now have a sony MP70 as the HU on my car(gonna move it to the Z), so what should I get if I have a low buget on stereos?
Thanx

why don't you just put your ps2 on your bed and jump up and down and see if it still plays. Unless you plan on driving over major potholes, I think the ps2 should hold up.

do a search on the stereo question, plenty of setups here.

DVD's play flawlessly in my car. The external DVD is in the mailbox slot and the internal one (inside the case of the computer) is in the glovebox. Now, I haven't really run over any MAJOR potholes while a DVD was playing, but for normal driving, I have had no problems at all.

Hey Ive had my ps2 in my car for a while now, I had it in two places, 1 right over the passengers feet under where the imaginary glovebox would be. and 2 behind the passenger seat standing up in between the chair and the wall. I have not experienced one skip yet caused by the Z. Im kinda surprised.
