Hey guys,
i have 2 10inch JL w1's in my Z with a box that fits under the strut bar. I've had this for almost a year now with no problems. Lately, on certain songs when the bass hits very low, i hear some sort of vibration or a buzzing noise that sounds like a wire might be touching the sub itself, however, besides that it sounds perfectly fine when the bass doesn't hit that low which is basically 95% of the time. i was wondering if anyone might have any suggestions on what the problem might be and how i would be able to fix it. any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks!!

 

is it coming from your high's and mid's or your sub. if it is from your high's and mid's it probably "engine noise." this is caused when you run your power wire and rca cables to close to each other. if its coming from your sub, i dunno. i do know that when i play low frequency bass notes in my car, i get "engine noise" and i have my power running down the passenger side of my car and the rca's running down the drivers side of my car.

 

hey, its actually coming from my subs...its like a buzzing noise but it went away today for some reason. i think maybe a wire was touching the subs or maybe something else was touching the subs to cause a buzzing noise..kinda like the noise a bee makes. if anyone else has any info for if it comes back, that'd be great..thanks again
