Bass rattles
After having my installer fix several air leaks I am still experiencing rattles from my JL 10W3 sub. Only some songs but very noticeable. Installer used 36 sq ft of Dynamat in stock sub location and built a box inside same. Is it reasonable to experience loud rattles on some songs. The first bass note on Dazed and Confused almost rattles me out of the car!! Installer said rattles happen and can come from any surface in the car so throwing more Dynamat at the car won't help. Any suggestions???
Your installer is an idiot. I used 7 sheets of dynamat in my Z (around the whole thing) and have one rattle left just waiting for my lazy *** to get to. I started with just 5 sheets and slowly chipped away at different rattles till I got down to the last one which only shows up on very very hard hits.
My sub is where the spare tire goes so I probably had to put more in my hatch area then you as well.

Track #3, heartbreaker on new Zep live CD rocks. I forgot how good Jimmy was and better yet, I was at that exact concert at Long Beach so hearing it again is a treat.

I got both the CD version and the DVD version. I purchased the DVD version the night I left for my trip and watched about 30 minutes of it. I cannot compare the two musically because I have to wait until I return to the USA on Aug 20th to watch the DVD completely. Care to commit on which is better musically? I noticed from what i heard on the two, they are different. I was expecting the same music but just video on the DVD and was surprised to see they are not the same.

the cds are great but I don't think they were professionally recorded in the beginning as the LA show was a bootleg so I think the dvds are the best as some were not bootleg but professionally done however I love them all! it is just so great to be able to watch them after all these years!!
I was having some serious rattling from my sub box (sealed box tucked away behind the driver), and I finally isolated it down to a screw I was using to keep everything "in place". It was a paranoia screw . . . a just in case last minute idea. I removed that, vibration rattle went away.
