I just installed a D3 on my 07 enthusiast and today I tried to install my friends 04 touring with bose.

I took it apart and found a 3rd wire harness below the 2 factory harness most of us are accustomed with. WTH is that? Please help.

Use the wire harness from Scosche and don't worry about the leftover stuff.

well on my non bose i have the normal 2 nissan wires. On my friends touring mode theres another plug underneath the 2 normal wires. Tryin to figure out that what is? I know I have to get a line convertor since its a Bose but any kinda wiring chart or someoen with experience installin an aftermarket unit on a bose equipped car would be greatly appreciated

 

I'm pretty sure the extra harness controls the steering wheel controls. If you want to retain this you will need a PAC module.

 

it is not for steering wheel controls. The 04 models do not have it. I have an 07 and have steering controls and I DO NOT have that extra harness. I believe the extra plug is for the bose amplifier but I need to know what I need to make it work.
