I came across an add on craigslist for a zenclosure box plus 2 10" Alpine Type-E's - I've been wanting the type R's but at $150 dollars for the 2 10" subs + the box seemed like a fair deal to me. This has been used for less than a year. What do you guys think? I'm an audio entry level person just looking to add a little life to the car.

What would you reccomend to use to push these subs? I was looking at the Alpine M450 mono.

Hard to beet that price

 

That's a really good price. The box alone, for 2x 10" is $145 or so. You can always upgrade to the Type Rs. I have one Type R and it is PLENTY loud. 2x 10" Type E's should be really nice for a Z. Just get a decent to high quality Amp and upgrade your 6.5"s and you'll be set until you want your neighborhood to hear you coming 2 blocks away.

 

The Alpine 450 would be a perfect amp for that setup, assuming that the subs are single 4 ohm voicecoils.

 

yup - these speakers are 4ohms... holmes!
