Default Simple help needed fast!

I've got my car apart trying to install a double din DVD (Kenwood DDX-6019). Got some questions that I need help with fast.

1. How do you hook up the ignition wire? Cut and splice right off the ignition or on the wire going to the ignition fuse or what?

2. Do you just ground out the parking wire to get the DVD function to work without having the parking brake engaged? Same with the reverse wire?

Go here: https://my350z.com/forum/audio-video-and-electronics-diy/354914-install-guide-bose-kenwood-dnx7100-pac-roem-nis2-03-cubby-painted-cubby-monitor.html

It deals with the Kenwood DNX7100, which has a wiring harness similar to the DDX6019.
