I'm not sure why people are so confused about the question. This is a 350z forum (I know its hard to believe at times) and this is the audio/video section. I'm 100% sure the OP is asking about the sound system setup in your 350z, not your home, not your office, not your church, not the local bodega down the street but the one in your 350z.

As for me, I'm semi-active. By that, I mean my front stage is bi-amped wia a JL 450/4 150x2 to the mid bass, Boston Acoustics Z6's, and 75x2 to the tweets. I adjust them at the amp, but I only fed one l/r signal to the amp, it does the signal splitting internally.
My rear stage is passive.

As for the component description, I wasn't responding to you, I was answering the original question, and providing extra detail. Not that hard to figure out.

, I do know the difference, and I really don't think it is relevant, or beneficial to any z driver. And if a 10 mil a year, three store company is not very good, then so be it, after all, I do live in New Orleans, so what do I know?
Well, apparently, you don't know the difference, because you asked for clarification, multiple times. Not thinking active versus passive makes a differnce is a valid opinion. Not knowing how they are different is lack of knowledge.
Retards. The world is full of retards.

Are you really asking if there is a difference from running your sound system active or passive?
Who knows maybe I am completely wrong and maybe the OP is referring to alarm systems.
[Flashback] I remember back in the day when I used to have to punch in the retarded 4-digit code on the keypad for my "passive" alarm system in my 1990 Toyota Corolla to disengage the imobilizer. [/Flashback]

Look at the bright side, I bet your poll is getting more responses than you thought.
