Default skips

Only when it is cold -- once the cd player warms up, it is fine

Like everyone has said, it happens especially when it's cold... Which happens quite a bit where I'm from.

It's an inherent defect/flaw in the BOSE unit, which I'm assuming you have.

yeah mine skips too. I noticed it does it more when it is 'cold' as well... and by "cold" I mean less than 60 degrees (which isnt very cold, but apparently cold enough)

What he is saying is that a $150 HU is way better with more option than the the stock. There's plenty of replies that they have problems with it when it gets cold. I too upgraded the stock HU as my first mod.

My stock HU randomly decided to jam/stop feeding cds one day. Replaced it with another OEM HU from an 04, shortly afterwards it had the skipping problem.
Replaced it with an aftermarket.

YOu must have the smart Bose system that, senses your playing RAP, this is the best the Bose system can do without self destructing.

Replace the Bose if you can. The 03-04 AudioPilot feature drove me crazy to the point were I wanted to rip everything out.

Silverstone-Z's
It's a normal problem, and it's just a normal quirk of the BOSE system.
