Heres the story, i have a flipout headunit in my car and it has video inputs.

I had an old laptop that i decided to use again after a couple of years. I started it and it works so i took it apart and im gonna make a new box but smaller for it. now i disconnected the screen from the laptop and it has a VGA output. Now can i buy this item in the link below and connect the laptop to my headunit?

yeah that will work but why dont you get a touch screen so you can control the lap top ?

 

I want to do that but the goods ones i find are like 700-1000 bucks. Ive already spent 6-7 grand in the past couple of months in my motor build, i cant afford that right now but show season is already started so i just wanted to do this. I mean its only 50 bucks, ill get that and buy a touchscreen later on. Thanx for the answering my question
