Anyone know what is behind nav spot?
I am interested in putting a new head unit inside stock nav spot but pixes of dash removed show another wall where I think back of nav would be. I would need to be able to cut a hole in back and have about 3- 3/12 inches of depth available to fit a head unit. Has anyone seen behind the nav wall? Thanks

ummm there is another wall behind the nav compartment place. bout an inch and a half farther back than the compartment goes, I think. maybe less.
without the nav system theres certainly 3inchs from the dash to that wall. but there isnt 3 inches behind the compartment wall to the back wall.
sorry your question confused me, so I cant answer it very well...

With dash removed there is a wall shown where back of nav space would be. I need to know if anyone knows what is behind that wall as there is not enough depth in nav spot for a head unit unless you can put hole in wall and get an extra couple of inches of depth availble.

My installer told me that behind that black wall is a metal brace.. so it's a no go if you want to install a headunit there.. unless you angle it up.. like 45degree..
I have seen headunit installed there with 45degree angle..
