Default Rear view mirror broke off... Thanks to the subs

Well like it saids, I was driving down the highway, listening to music not even that loud and all of sudden the dam rear view mirror falls, good thing it has the cable for the home link but it didn't just give way at the sticky point, or whatever holds it but took a chunk of the windshield! So, I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what they did to resolve it, I was just thinking of getting those windshield repair kits, but I dont think it will hold for long.

Mine has broken off from my stereo twice. I no longer turn up my music when the interior is over about 80 degrees

Just think what that bass must be doing to your ear drums. You might want to turn the music down just a little bit.

What kind of power going to 4 W7s? I find it hard to believe you cracked windows unless your window was already cracked and all the bass did was spread it. It takes some ridiculous amounts of power and low end to do a full windshield crack.

Also to the op I would as well like to know what subs, and power.
