i have a Pioneer AVIC Z1 and its amazing. Im sure you can find them for a reasonable price on ebay. IT has a 30GB HDD built in. GPS, touchscreen, and much more.

i like the quality of the Alpine W505, but it gets expensive when you figure in buying the Blackbird to get navigation. Any of the Pioneer head units are pretty impressive and if your willing to sacrifice the 7" then their new "F" line of GPS/NAVI/BLUETOOTH head units seem to be pretty badass but with a 5 somethign" screen im SURE they will release a 6.5" or 7" flagship model soon.

I really like Alpine touch-screen function. It’s different from the rest because it feels better when pressing down on a screen button.

After Alpine, I would rate Kenwood as second and Pioneer as third.

Comparing value ($$) and function (reliable touch-screen), I rate Kenwood as the best choice.

Of course this is a personal opinion that is very argueable.

I just bought a Kenwood 812, but for all in one i would suggest Kenwood 8120.

Hey, does anybody have any pics of particular units installed? I am looking to keep the factory radio but add on, and it seems to be hard to find a unit that works easily with the stock head unit. I have no ipod, sat radio etc and the stock head unit has no AUX. input?? help. looking to fill my blank NAV cubby.

Search here and in the "Audio Builds" sub-forum using keywords such as "upper cubby" or "upper forward cubby" to see many examples, installation issues, and a lot of discussion.
