the alarm only goes off at night around 12am-3am also and it is right outside of my apartment. i can literally look out my window and see it and no cars have drove by or there is no one on the street. weird! must be a faulty sensor but so random!

Did the system use your OEM hood pin?

The OEM hood pins have a tendency to false alarm (especially if you have an aftermarket hood).

I would start there, pop your hood and locate the little plunger looking thing that the hood contacts when it closes and disconnect the wires from it for a few days. If your false alarms stop reposition the plunger to make better contact or replace the switch.

If you still have false alarms use the alarms built in status display to figure out exactly which zone is triggering. You should be able to count the LED flashes once you disarm the system and the number of flashes will correspond to a zone. Look in the book and the book will tell you what zone that is. Once you know the zone you can then figure out how to fix it.

thanks! the sensor is the shock sensor, when the alarm goes off. still goes off randomly early in the AM, seems to be a temperature thing????? when is starts to get into the 50s or cooler, the alarm will usually go off randomly. i used to park in my garage and never had this problem. could it be a temperature thing?? thanks!
