Default Stock Tweeter Replacement

Has anyone removed the stock tweeters and replaced them with aftermarket units in in the same location? I'm looking at JL Audio VR650 components, and I'm not sure the tweeter will even fit in triangle trim piece. If I can remove the tweeter mount I'll ream it out for a the bigger JL unit and mount them there. I'm going for a stock look.

Experience? Thoughts? Pictures?

Also, if anyone knows where I can get my hands on a 10WIB4 I would much appreciate it!!!

If you look around the board I think a few peps have done what you are saying it shouldn’t be hard at all..

My question is how tinny the stock system sounds. Personally myself I prefer my sound level lower, why I plan to build some kick panels.

Anyone out there that has replaced the stock tweeters and they aren’t as bright?? Or is repositioning them a must for quality sound.

I spent some time looking around in previous posts and found that people had mostly either used kickpanels are gone with coaxials and disabled the factory tweets. I'm concered about the highs (very directional) getting muddied if put them down in the door near the woofer.

The JL VR series components use a silk dome tweeter, I'm hoping this will ease the harshness/tinniness of the stock system.
