i have 2 kicker solobaric l7 10 inch subs with rockford fosgate p6002. my subs are 4ohm DVC. i was wondering if i could wire them as 1 ohm like mono. i know that my amp are not supposed to be wired as 1 ohm, they recommend setup as 4ohm max. my subs are 600rms and peak is 1200 each.and my amp is peak 2100 or so. can i wired them as 1 ohm mono subwoofer?

 

they would become 2 ohm mono, not 1 ohm

really? i thought if you have 2 DVC 4ohm subs, u can wire 1 ohm.

 

That image clearly shows I am retarded.
I would have sworn it was halved in parrellel, doubled in series. So two 4s would be a 2 or 8 ohm load depending on your choice.

However, your amp will tell you how low you can go, if the impedence goes to low it may give you a light, a low imp light....see if you have one.
