I recently put Infinity Reference 6 1/2s in the doors off the deck power and was very pleased with the results.

I just got done putting them in the rear and they sound like crap - definitely not worth the trouble of disassembling the back of the car!!

I left it disassembled for the night so I can put my basslink in tomorrow, but in general this is a very skippable upgrade. I guess the deck is doing something to make them sound crappy?

 

I had the speaker wiring reversed - I corrected it and it sounds marginally better now (a bit more low end, anyway.)

They still suck pretty bad and are too close to your head, so I fade +3 or +4 forward. This makes them almost unnoticable.

I am hoping that wiring the basslink tomorrow will round out the system nicely.
