Default Couple of quick questions on install...

Hi all,

First off, I'm about to order my wires for my equip, can some tell me what RCAs I can go with?

I'm choosing between the Stinger Expert and Dream series, do any of you guys use them or know the difference between the two?

This is the rest to wire everything up, tell me if its enough wire(speaker)

hooking up jl 500/1, jl 300/4 ,to focal polyglass 6.5 components and coaxials. and 10w7 in nazar enclosure..also, i got a 1F cap
------------------------------------------------
4ga multi amp stinger kit
T-block so i can run 4 ga to the 500/1 without a d block
30ft of 14ga stinger pro speaker wire

3 sets of either dream or expert stinger RCAS

couple more feet of 4ga to ground amps (its suggested to be ground at the same point, right?

should this be it..or am i missing something?

---------------------------------
people who have installed in their Z...help me out! Thanks

I'd say go with the expert series interconnects, very good shielding (since you will run with the power wires to the back this is a good thing) and they look quite nice to boot.

The 4GA kit is just about right for your setup, but any future upgrades may require a 2GA lead from the battery.

14ga wire is gonna be a PITA to wire up to the fronts. I am(will be this weekend) using a Pheonix Gold M44 bridged to my fronts(~85W x 2), and I only plan on using 16ga wire, but if you can fit it ... more is always better!

How do you plan to integrate the Cap into the setup??

About grounding the amps.... It really is not a bad idea to find separate grounds for each one, but all together works too...installers preference.

Good luck with everything

Jim

Default the cap

The cap i have will be used for the 500/1 in between the t block and amp but closer to the amp. i figured that would be the only amp that might need it.

yea..i'm thinking of getting 16ga now too...this being my first ever install..i dont want it to be even mroe painful than it is already just by thinking about it and drawing the schematic in my head!

thanks for the advice though

i'll get this installed in a week or two, so i'll post pics either of my nice install..or a car burnt to the ground by some faulty wiring that i might accidentally do...DOH!
