its made for a 10" i think. i was thinking the same thing but decided to build a custom box for my 12" and put it in the back. it wont sound to good and if u roll with the seat all the way back like i do the sub will sound like **** probably
if you are set on using that space, try an enclosure from wickedCAS.

Yes, it will sound like crap. The area back there is not enclosed like a box is. Also, the sub doesn't have sufficient air space to create a bass wave, so sound will be weak.

i have a roadster and bought the custom box from Zenclosures that holds 2 10'' subs and im very pleased with it actually.
however i would rather have them in the stock location so i can have what lilttle trunk space the ZR does offer.
i heard of ppl fiberglassing the whole inside of the stock sub location which will seal it and i heard good things about that... anybody else???
i would not pay wicked cas $325 for a sub box that little. custom or not, that is steep, esp if you are gonna do 2 subs... my custom trunk box from Zenclosures was like 180 shipped i think... then again, im not a bog stereo guy, so i have no need to buy top of the line stuff.

speaking of the magic box can anyone chime in with results? ive seen this mentioned and have looked into it but cant seem to find any good info/reviews on its performance, like how it sounds and if it rattles and so on...

Thats what I want to do. I like to keep everything hidden.

This isn't the original thread where I got that picture from. The original thread is from like 2002, but in this thread a few guys have installed this box so it should help answer your questions.

hey im debating different solutions for this "cavern" i like the wicked cas box im just confused on how the air moves into the cavern, it looks like it would be trapped? plus not to mention the $330 price tag. i was thinking since anything using the stock way of firing the woofer forward into the back of the seats yields poor results, i was thinking of a ported box, where the sub fired at the floor (which according to what everyone says is the best way and resonates the most) and having a port fire in the cabin at the drivers seat...
does this sound like a good idea? i know most ported boxes arent considered "good" because everyone hates ports for sq, but i found this from infinity which is supposodly supposed to be an answer to "it all" http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/p...=US&Region=USA
im going to see what the measurements are to see if it could even fit through the frame, but if it could i think this could sound pretty good and its less than $200 loaded with a woofer, and my 5 channel amp im buying has a sub channel that is rated at 300 watts @ 2 ohms, which exactly the same specs as the box. thoughts? will a port firing in the cabin give a more mature bass curve than the sealed woofer firing in the cabin?
