Default Dash kit question

I just bought the Kenwood DNX-7100. It comes with a trim ring. Do I still need the metra dash kit? I know the part number from searching. I just wanted to know if I would need a dash kit if it has the trim ring?

I also ordered PAC harness kit for the Bose. Is there anything else you guys can think of?

Thanks for the help.

You'll need the kit because the factory brackets aren't quite ISO mount. The kit makes the trim look really complete while the deck's trim makes it look...umm.....cheap.

Okay thanks I just wanted to make sure I really needed it. I found a price on ebay of 20.00. Is that pretty much the cheapest I will find?

I suppose thats a good price. Just make sure its a Scosche or a Metra. If American International makes one, you'll want to avoid it!

we sell all metra stuff at circuit city. go down to your local one and talk to the manager, he will match any price on them... if he dosnt then walk up front and ask for the store supervisor. they are supposed to match prices, even ones on amazon... we cut almost $160 off an amp the other day. i love working at circuit city and knowing the loopholes

Wow that looks great. No I haven't tried it. I ended up ordering it online so I guess if I don't end up using it I can just return it.

Thanks for the help and pic too.

I had the question about the Metra DASH INSTALL DOUBLE DIN KIT COMBO. Some people say it fit like crap.

BTW, I found there are two different PN for the Metra Kit depending on the yr of the car.

Crutchfield has the dash kit for $14.99 but I doesn't tell you who is the manufacture.
