So, I am looking at getting an aftermarket HU. And i just thought about my steering wheel controls. Will they work with an Aftermarket HU, or do I need an adapter of some sort?

 

Yes you will need a module. PAC carries several different modules for steering wheel controls. My favorite deck is a Pioneer in conjunction with the PAC SWI-PS. Its quite simple to set up and the interface just plugs into the back of the deck (selected mid to higher level Pioneer units).
