Sub Box Dimensions
A fellow Z coupe owner is going to fiberglass a sub box for me in the stock bose location. I wanted to see if anyone had any good dimensions for a box in that location. I saw the post about the sub that fires down but we are going to have the sub fire toward the seat.
I got a Rockford Fosgate 12" Stage 3 punch DVC 4ohms. 500 RMS 1000 max
The amp is a Soundstorm Mono Block 850 watts at 2ohms.
I have searched and seen a lot of pics of subs in the stock location, but I haven't seen any dimensions for the box. Any help is appreciated.
I am also hopefully installing a Kenwood DNX 7100 nav/dvd unit this weekend. I will try and get some pics and post a write up on it.

There's some good audio vendors, and I can remember one in particular, but I forget his username, who have done this. They'll be able to help you out.
You'll just have to wait for a little bit

Thanks Kirk, I remember wickedcas, and I think Nazar. I just didn't know if they would give out dimensions to a box that they sell.
I guess its worth a try. This Saturday we are pulling the Bose and bracket out and seeing what we have to work with. I will keep everyone updated. Hopefully we will be putting in the Kenwood 7100DNX too.

1) Soundstorm amp huh? Can you please use something better?
2) These susb require anywhere from about .8 to 1.25 cubic feet sealed.
3) Stock location is about the worst place to put a sub. It is way too close to be able to be effective in your listening position. Under the strut tower bar, facing backwards in the trunk or facing up in the wheel well are the best places to place the sub.

I had a sound strom amp that pushed my JL before so thats why i stick with this brand. There is plenty of room in the stock location, with the right box. I have a roadster so no under the strut box for me.
Thanks for the bump.
