Default Cd-loading?

Everytime I start my '05 350z it makes a clicking noise on the stereo like it's trying to load a CD. I can't get anything to come out and/or load anything into my cd player. Anyone have this happen to them or know what it is? I'm not very electronically inclined when it comes to car audio.

Thxs in advance.

It's been a while since I've messed around with the stock stereo... but is it the BOSE?
Does it have the multiple cd changer? Are they all empty?

Yeah I have the Bose sound system w/ 6 disc. I just got the car about a month ago and it's driving me nuts and I don't have the money yet to put in the new system. (Saving for nav.)

As far as I know it's empty. Everytime I press load/eject it makes the same noise it does when I start the car. Click, click, click for like 15 secs and stops. Like it's trying to load a Cd. It won't let me put one in either. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there's a quick fix like reseting something.

Common problem with all 6 disc in dash changers. It is most likely the transport system that is broken (broken teeth on a gear usually). Repairing the unit could be pretty costly and counter-productive. Cheapest bet is to get a used cd changer to replace it. Best bet is to upgrade the deck and use a Bose interface adaptor.

Yeah, it's a known problem, although I don't think there's a service bulletin out on that one like there is for when your left speaker stops working. Just save yourself the trouble of fixing it and replace it. It's just gonna break again anyway. Just speaking from experience.

Thanks for all the replies. I was hoping there was a quick fix but, didn't think so. I'll just go with the original plan and install some kind of nav system in it's place.
