JL Audio Stealthbox
So as my first mod, I was planning to get the JL Audio Stealthbox. But, I stopped by my local Tweeter today and was listening to the W-3 and really was not impressed, in fact I was kinda dissapointed. The W-6 sounds so much louder and better. But, maybe it was just a bad comparison being in an open room with a crappy amp. So looking for some opinions from those that got the stealthbox. How do you like it? Is it plenty loud? Hit hard? Good SQ? Worth the $800?

I have the stealth box and love it. It came with 2 10" W-7s, I used the JL amps and it's got some serious bass. I like it but you can go on ebay and someone makes box's for the Z. I think it Z enclosures or something then you could pick your own sub and it would be a lot cheaper. Good luck

The JL W3 is one of the most over-rated subs ever made. It is nothing but a cheap, steel basket, basic subwoofer that they love to price between the W1 and W6 just for fun. I have built boxes for these subs and have never been impressed with them. JL's best value is the W6 hands down. The W7? Meh....overpriced if you pay retail.
