Default Who Makes the XM Radio?

I have a new '08 Z Touring model with the XM radio. Anybody know who makes this radio?

Thanks,

Sean

I went to the XM radio site, and they had manuals for various radios, but they wanted to know who made the radio - e.g., Sony, Polk, et al. Obviously, Nissan doesn't make them. So I am wondering who does.

OEM radios are either made by BOSE (duh) or Clarion.

BOSE does amps and speakers. Most Nissan stereos are OEM Clarion.

Well okay, I'm probably a dumb7ss, but I can't figure out how to tune to other stations on the XM bands, so I was hoping to find a manual for it. The owner's manuals for the car really don't get into it.
I have activated the radio (actually the dealer did that), and I verified that it's activated, but the only two stations I seem to be able to tune into using the "tune" buttons are 001 and 247, and of course 000, the radio ID.
I was hoping to find something to read that would tell me what Im doing wrong so that I could avoid looking like an idiot asking in a public forum how to tune a radio.
Thanks.

Sounds like the activation was not successful. Those are the default stations that come loaded on a new XM unit. I would call XM, they can verify if it is activated or not, and if not, they can take care of it for you. Good luck!

Cool, thanks Brian. I'll try calling them up and see what's going on.

Are you absolutely certain? You've see the BOSE label on the top/back panel of the headunit?

All of the Nissan BOSE systems that I've seen, the head unit was made by Clarion, the amps and speakers were BOSE.
