amp help
I tired searching but it yielded no results. so here is the problem i have everything hooked up as it was described and as i have done it many many times before and had no problems.
the amp is getting power, the protect light comes on but the power light does not. and then that it is all it does. no sound no static nothing. its almost like its not connected at all. the HU is Kenwood DVX6019 DDin the amp is a soundstream 360watt and the subs are Rockford P1's
any suggestions?

i had this problem with a previous amp man, and its not good your amp is fried, when i ordered mine it got sent like that so i had to return it. most likely on yours you either had neg touch pos or just a defective amp

Well, if you have a simple test light you can see if the amp is getting both power and remote turn on power from the deck. Remember to double check your ground to the chassis as this is often an overlooked problem. If you've got good power and ground then it may be your RCAs. Try running another set to test them.
Failing the above, try another amplifier.

I would also connect the amp ONLY to power, ground and the turn-on lead.
(It may think there is a problem with the load, and then try to "protect" itself from the speakers.)
If it works (comes out of "protect") without the speakers connected, I would check the speaker connections and speakers.

no lights at all? My money is on your power then. Your fuse may be blown. Double check the fuse - if its an AGU glass fuse then it may be disconnected inside where you can't see it. Wiggle it around and see if that helps...if it does, replace the fuse right away. I have seen this all to often. You need a test light brother! $2-$5 at walmart for a basic one.
