Default Is the stock alarm supposed to flash the lights on disarm?

Mine only flashes when I arm it which makes it hard to tell if I have disarmed/unlocked or not.

The dealer can change the alarm modes.
If memory serves.. mode 4 is what you want.
It does not chirp the horn, flashes twice for lock, once for unlock.

Ask them to change the Remote Keyless Entry Hazard and Horn Reminder mode to mode 4.

Now lets see how your service department responds when you ask them to change the mode for you! If you get the 'deer in the headlights' look.... have them check the service manual BL66.

Hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for a few seconds. You have several different options: lights flash/horn honks, flash lights/no horn honk, etc... All this info. is in the owners manual.

I know how to toggle between honk/no honk mode. My question is specifically related to making it flash on disarm in "no honk" mode, which grutter has answered by pointing me to the service manual item (which is not documented in the user manual.)

For those of us who don't have the manual, what are the 4 modes? Do you just keep cycling the holding of the two buttons together to switch through the modes?

To change the mode (other than the honk/no honk factory set option) you'll have to get the dealer to set the mode.
I attached an image that shows all of the modes available.

Is MODE 3 the default. It seems like that's the reaction times. I'd like to go to MODE 1. -m

I believe each option has its own mode setting.

Factory Default for lock/unlock (Remote Keyless Entry Hazard and Horn Reminder) is Mode C / Mode S.
