Amen! Having all that equipment installed by a hack would be counter-productive! Your equipment is only as good as its installer!

I would imagine that your friend would want to use the product that he stocks if the car is going to represent the shop. What does he sell?

I used to work at a shop that did custom enclosures and customers (without 1,000 stickers on their car) were mostly impressed by stealthy/clean sounding setups. However, if you're trying to attract new clients, I'd try to show them the full extent of talent the installers have (i.e. wild/clean/loud).

I'm not trying to be a smart *** or anything but if your friend was going to do a custom install, why would you get a prefab box and amp rack?

Especially when we are talking W3's. These are one of the worst subs (for the money that is) I have ever had the displeasure of owning.

reluctantly i agree, i have a w7 10 in my z and love the output... just wish it was tighter with the same level

jl amps are great, not many amps have universal output from 8-0.5 ohms

JL may be the way to go without going into heavy debt

just depends on what your guy is selling, what brands does he carry?

I have to agree with Doug this time. There is much better to be had with the price paid for JL audio equipment. The main gripe most people have with JL is that they are overpriced.
