I have a 06' with factory Bose. My wife bought me the Avic for Christmas. I took it to a the radio place that is going to install it. Well the guy said that he might have to buy an extra piece for the wiring so that the Bose would work. I have been reading all freaking day, and I cannot find where this is true. Can someone help me out. What I would like to know is what wiring harness to use so that the factory Bose still works? Thanks.

However, the application guide for the ROEM-NIS1 only lists up to the 2005 z. I haven't been able to find a clear answer as to whether or not it is also compatible with the 06 - .
All years of the 350Z will use the same wire harness. I have installed some without the extra Bose adapter by adding RCA ends onto the regular Metra Nissan harness (part # 70-7550) and using the low level RCA outputs on the back of the deck rather than the speaker level outputs. If I remember correctly this works far better if the deck has high volt pre-outs, which the Pioneer unit does (4.0 volts). All the bose adapter does is attenuate the signal so the fatory Bose amps don't see such a high power input. You can run this by the installer and see what they say as it could save you about $50.00 or whatever it is they want to charge you for the adapter.
