Default Driver's Side Glovebox?

I'm wondering if anyone knows if a glovebox like the one on the passenger side can be added to the driver's side. I am interested in this because the glovebox is an ideal place to install amps (if drilled for fans and stuff). I assume that it will work since the rear mounting brackets are there and other people on this site have posted pictures of the blose sub bracket on the passenger side.

If this will work, I plan to install my JL 300/4 and 500/1 amplifiers in it and drill some holes somewhere on the sides, top, and back and install a couple 12 volt fans on a relay (controlled by the turn-on line) for cooling. If anyone has researched this and knows prices of the parts, I would appreciate the information.

Thanks.

Its easy:

You have to remove the sub bracket, but the glovebox bolts right in. NOTE: The door is not the same. You can use the existing cover, since you are just planning on putting amps etc in there, its not like you need to open and close it a lot. Installing a glove box door would involve some custom work.
