check your wiring harness to make sure you have + and - for both left and right rears

I would say thats a good thing. Rear speakers in these cars are not only garbage, but their placement is horrid. I say keep it that way and upgrade your fronts.

Man I have this same problem. There is audio, it's very faint though. I had it installed by an performance shop who is well accredited. I didn't notice it for a while and I had suspicions they messed something up. I am an Avionics technician in the Air Force so I know a few things about wiring so I took everything apart to inspect their work. I would have personally used different splices, I probably would have used solder-type environmental splices but aside from that everything was hooked up correctly. I was pretty baffled but said oh well. Possibly an issue with the internals of the AVH-P4000? I am unsure. Is there anyone else who has had this issue in the past that has any input? I'd like to know as much as the OP! OP if you find anything out, PM me!! Later

You don't really need them for the car to sound good! My car speakers bump without the rears... If you want better sound, I would suggest putting in an amp, and maybe some subs!
