Default Jl audio amps and subs.......

I am looking to install a Jl audio amp to drive MB Quart components up front and a set of MB Quarts in the factory openings behind the seats.

The components are PCE 213's (90-170 watts)
The coaxials are DKG 116's (50 -120 watts)
The subs are: 10w3v2 and will be powered by a Precision Power Art series A600 (nostalgia purposes) and the subs will be in a Zenclosure.

My question is: Has anyone installed either the Jl Audio 300/4 or the 450/4? Would the 450/4 be a bit too much power for the interior of my Z? Though, looking at the speaker specs, I think the 450/4 would do the job and have enough head room to turn the system up.

Regarding the subs: Should they be wired in series or in parallel?

Thanks for your help!

i have the 300/4 and the 500/1 both installed in my Z. No, it's not too much power.

Is the 500/1 driving one sub or two and if two, in what type of configuration?

Thanks again!

It's driving only one sub (10" jl w7). It's at a 3 ohm load. JL subs will find the right ohm load when hooked up.

no problem. I never had issues with the stock battery even though i'm using an optima yellow top now. I believe the 300/4 is a class a/b amp and the 500/1 is a class d amp.

Just don't use the stock sail panel in the front for components. It will be pretty harsh.
