Default anybody put aftermarket 10 inch sub behind driver seat?

JUST WONDERING IF PEOPLE SCUESSFULLY INSTALLED A AFTER MARKET (NON-BOSE) 10 INCH SUB BEHIND THE DRIVER SET.

I found the big hole supposally for a 10inch sub, but placed a JBL W0 10 inch sub in there and the hole seemed larger than the sub. I have doubts if I buy a 10 inch sub will it fit right. I'm sure i can drill new holes. There is a lot of room back there, maybe too much room for a single sub.

I was thinking about getting a Rockford Fosgete HX2 for my JBL 600 watt mono amp. Maybe the amp will fit inside that area where the sub will be.

yea, thats what i'm afarid of. Too much space for the sub. The HX2 needs less than 1 sq ft.

but any bass is better than nothing!

Search button, guys. This is so talked about. You can find all you want to know and more just by hitting the search button. It is less work for you and less redundant stuff for everyone else. Try it. It works great!

I recently installed a 10" alpine sub in the stock spot and when it hits really hard the metal plate that holds the sub vibrates and really kills the sound, and that's off a mono 500w.

Today I took it down to a custom shop for a fiberglass job of the area. The place is charging me $500 for the job and say they may have to keep over night .

I'll let you know how it turns out.

I put in an MB Quart 10" sub that i had in that space, with the amp behind it. To me it sounds fine, alot better than nothing at all. It's nothing booming. The sub was smaller than the opening though, so i only got to put two bolts in the exiting holes on one side, and the other side had a C-shaped air space. at first it would rattle when the sub would hit up against the plate, so i bought some sealant and made a seal around the entire opening. now there are no rattles at all and it sounds good.

I would not put it behind the seat, you are better off getting a single 10 or a pair, and making a custom box under your strut bar. Here is a pic of mine installed.
